After a long pause, here's something new - Corvus (long - haired guy with two daggers) against two Fomorian Warriors. I had a lot of fun doing pencils - now it's time to work on inks and coloring. Original format is A3.
Very nice work. .. really like the sense of movement, and your shading ...
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but by Fomorians, do you mean the ancient race that settled Ireland and were defeated by the Tuatha de Dannan as per the Book of Conquests? If so, very cool.
Yes, thtat's it - the illustration is a part of graphicnovel based on Celtic myths!
Awesome! I'm a huge fan of Celtic mythology--guess I better keep an eye on this project of yours! Out of curiosity, are you familiar with an Irish artist named Jim Fitzpatrick? Some of your line work really reminds me of his stuff. You've got some really great pages so far.
Actually, the only thing I knew about Jim Fitzpatrick was that he made the famous Che Guevara portrait. I only recently found out about his mythology-based work and that really looks great (basically, I am feeling ashamed because I did not discover him earlier ). Thank you very much for your comment! I also work on one more small project based on Greek mythology - I should be able to post some pages early next year.
Epic drawing as the expression is really impressive!
Wow that really does look fluid! Enjoy working on these combat pictures?
Yes, I really enjoyed working on this one. I am planning more combat scenes - some of them much more complex than this one.
Ooh can't wait for those! How much more complex would you say?
There is nothing bad I can say about this picture! O_O
